Airbus has exceeded its targets for 2014, achieving a new record of 629 aircraft deliveries for 89 customers of which eight are new, comprising 490 A320 Family aircraft, 108 A330s, 30 A380s and A350 XWB. Qatar adds three freighter destinations
Qatar Airways Cargo has commenced operations to three new freighter destinations, Lagos, Accra and Guangzhou, with all three routes being served by the A330 freighter. Freighters to Lagos and Accra commenced on December 6. Qatar Airways Cargo took delivery of its fourth Airbus A330-200 freighter. The A330-200F has a payload capability of 70 metric tonnes and a range of up to 4,000 nm (7,400 km), and with its arrival adds even greater capacity to Qatar Airways Cargo’s rapidly expanding fleet. SriLankan Air takes delivery of A330-300
SriLankan Airlines has taken delivery of its first A330-300. The aircraft arrived at Colombo International Airport, having flown from Toulouse, France, and joins the airlines’ existing fleet of A320, A321, A330-200 and A340-300 aircraft.
