China Airlines is adding a third cargo flight between Houston and Taipei, Taiwan, three months after launching the freighter service. TAIWAN: EVA Air adds Paris cargo flights
Rising fees for over-flight routes and rising operating costs were cited by EVA Airways for its decision to suspend Taipei-Paris passenger services from 23 November, but will add cargo flights in its place. Citing strong cargo demand in Europe, EVA said it will launch dedicated Taipei-Paris cargo services, flying twice a week from January 2008. Hainan Airlines is moving forward with its plan to launch Hefei-based Anhui Airlines, though the specific timetable has yet to be fixed, according to ATW Online. Northeast Airlines, the new regional airline that Sichuan Airlines plans to launch in the first half of next year, has received an operating license from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).
