As this year draws to a close there is at least some comfort in the fact volumes have picked up in the last few months and yields have stabilised. Ethiopian cargo terminal set for operation by April ‘17
Ethiopian Airlines Cargo Terminal, which is under construction currently, has reached 82 per cent completion and it is scheduled to be operation by April 2017, the African carrier said. The first phase of the Addis Ababa terminal cost around US$150 million, according to a report by Ethiopian News Agency. The terminal will have an capacity of 1.2 million tonnes of cargo including facilities for perishable goods. Deutsche Post DHL completes UK Mail acquisition
Deutsche Post DHL Group has completed its US$315.5 million acquisition of UK Mail. Both EU and UK regulatory bodies gave the green light for the deal in late 2016 and the companies have moved to cancel the listing of UK Mail Group plc shares, amend the company’s Articles of Association and will add UK Mail’s operations to the European parcel network of Deutsche Post DHL Group.
