The US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has announced a new canine programme to enhance explosives detection capabilities in US air cargo facilities. The agency will train and certify more than 400 explosives detection canine teams, composed of one dog and one handler, during the next two years. Russia's freight traffic grew 6.3 per cent to nearly 2.5 trillion tonne-kilometres in 2007 compared to a year earlier, according to First Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov.
