The Air France-KLM Group has reported a third quarter net profit of €544 million on a 5.1 per cent drop in revenue to €6.9 billion. For the first nine months of 2016, net income was €433 million on a 3.5 per cent fall in revenue to €18.7 billion. Singapore Airlines, Air France KLM said to be in talks on possible partnership
Singapore Airlines and Air France KLM are said to currently be in discussions around some form of commercial partnership, in a large part driven by the competitive pressure of the Middle East carriers on routes between Asia and Europe. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced a decision of its Board of Governors (BoG), unanimously approved at an IATA BoG meeting today, to recommend Alexandre de Juniac, chairman and CEO of Air France-KLM, to succeed retiring director general and CEO, Tony Tyler. Dutch gov’t blocks Gulf carriers from expanding
Air carriers from the Gulf states will not be given new landing rights at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport. The Dutch government is citing “unfair competition with Air France-KLM” as the reason for its actions.
