Strong performance in charter and scheduled air cargo markets helped Volga-Dnepr Group out-perform the industry average traffic figures in 2009, by a wide margin. After months of uncertainty following the declaration of its bankruptcy by its parent, Aeroflot Cargo has resumed flying a full freighter schedule. Aeroflot announced late last year that it was closing its separate cargo subsidiary, Aeroflot Cargo, declaring it bankrupt and absorbing back into the main group.
