Lufthansa ends three Russian routes
Lufthansa is scaling back operations to Russia, as it discontinues three destinations from Frankfurt to Samara, Nizhny Novgorod and Moscow Vnukovo as the routes have become unprofitable. The German airlines will operate the last flights to Samara and Nizhny Novgorod September 6 and 7, respectively. The last Frankfurt-Moscow Vnukovo service is planned for August 30. WFS is set for biggest EU expansion
Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) is set for the biggest expansion of its ground handling activities in Europe in over 40 years after being awarded full ground handling licenses to operate at Spain’s Madrid, Seville, Santiago, Oviedo and Vitoria airports. Garuda increases Jakarta-Amsterdam frequency
Garuda Indonesia will reduce its flights between Jakarta and London Gatwick in favour of additional flights to Amsterdam. Operated on the B777-300ER, the airline will increase flight frequency of the Jakarta - Amsterdam route from five times to six times a week starting from 11 July 2015.
