IATA targets 60 airports for audits
IATA plans to launch a standardised audit for ground handling companies starting in mid-April 2008, reviewing ground operations at as many as 60 airports by year's end. Kuwait’s NAS signs up India’s Jet
National Aviation Services (NAS) announced the signing of a service agreement with Jet Airways of India. According to the agreement, NAS will provide Jet Airways with passenger and cargo services along with ramp handling at the Kuwait International Airport. Jet Airways will initially be operating 2 flights a day on the Kuwait - Delhi and Kuwait - Cochin sectors respectively, using Boeing 737-800s. Aviapartner has announced a new contract with Lufthansa and Swiss for full handling services in Venice. The contract, effective 1 January 2008, covers about 5000 flights per year for both airlines combined. Lufthansa operates 10 flights each day out of Venice with 50-300 seat aircraft and Swiss, 3 daily flights with RJ100 aircraft. The length of the contract will be 3 to 5 years. Mainland China-HK cargo restrictions to be removed
