Garuda to go door-to-door to boost cargo contribution to 20%
Garuda Indonesia is expecting the contribution from air cargo revenue to rise to more than 20 per cent from the current levels where it contributes less than 10 per cent of the revenue, according to president director of Garuda Indonesia, Arif Wibowo. Garuda Indonesia has placed an order with Airbus for 14 new A330neo aircraft.The deal was signed at a ceremony in London in the presence of Indonesia’s President, Joko Widodo, and the UK’s Prime Minister, David Cameron. Garuda teams up with Cardig in cargo
Indonesian flag carrier Garuda Indonesia has signed an agreement with local cargo carrier Cardig Air to coordinate on cargo shipping throughout the region. During the initial stage of cooperation that will take effect in July, Garuda will have the rights to sell freight space aboard Cardig Air flights that serve routes to Surabaya, East Java, Denpasar, Bali, and Dili in Timor Leste.
