Possible 2011 ramp-up of A320 production
Airbus COO-customers, John Leahy said recently that the manufacturer may ramp up A320 family aircraft production to 40 per month as early as the end of 2010 or early 2011, a signal that the industry has some confidence in an impending economic recovery. China Eastern looks to another hand-out from Beijing
China Eastern Airlines (CEA) is expected to receive a further CNY2 billion (US$294 million) capital injection from the Chinese government to help the struggling carrier survive. Swiss-based global forwarder Panalpina has been named as a prime logistics service provider (LSP) by China’s Huawei Technologies, a global telecommunications giant, for Huawei’s China-Brazil end-to-end business.
