UPS has named Sahil Jaggi, former marketing director for the products and industry segments in Asia Pacific, as managing director MD for Singapore and Malaysia, effective 1 April 2021. JD Logistics IPO in Hong Kong moves back on track
JD.com, China's number 2 e-commerce company, has filed the draft prospectus to list its logistics unit with the Hong Kong’s stock exchange. A timing for the IPO was not disclosed but according to reports the company is eyeing to raise at least US$4 billion. Late last year, the company got $4.5 billion in June via a secondary listing and listed its online healthcare unit JD Health International Inc. and raised over $3.4 billion. Ethiopian Cargo recognised for 2020 volume in Guangzhou
Ethiopian Airlines Group was honoured for its cargo performance in 2020 at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (CAN). The Logistics of Guangdong Airport Authority handed the award during the 2021 client seminar held in Guangzhou. Last year, the airline loaded cargo on 1,622 flights. Flying 966 cargo flights on freighters, 572 on preighters (passenger aircraft converted to cargo), and 84 passenger flights loaded on the belly hold. IAI, Incheon Airport to establish B777P2F conversion facility
Israel Aerospace Industries' (IAI) Aviation Group has signed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) with Incheon International Airport and MRO services provider Sharp Technics K to establish a passenger-to-freighter (P2F) conversion site for the B777-ERSF (Big Twin) in South Korea.
