Asia Pacific airlines saw international cargo demand (in FTKs) slide 19.3 percent year-on-year in August, with the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) citing ongoing weakness of global trade flows. Preliminary May 2020 traffic figures released today by the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) showed that the COVID-19 pandemic continued to weigh heavily on international air passenger and cargo markets, with the travel and tourism sectors crippled by widespread lockdowns and travel restrictions.
