The Cathay Pacific Group reported a profit of HK$812 million (US$104.8 million) for the first six months of 2009, compared to a loss of HK$760 million in the first half of 2008, thanks primarily to a HK$2.1 billion fuel hedging gain. BAWC volumes down 8.4% in Q3
The sharp downturn in the air cargo market from October last year has resulted in British Airways World Cargo' (BAWC) volumes falling 8.4 per cent over the third quarter of 2008, compared to a year earlier. Dubai airport records leap cargo and pax
Dubai International Airport has posted a 9.38 per cent increase in freight traffic year-on-year traffic in 2008, despite the worldwide economic slump and a slowdown in global travel demand. The airport handled 1,824,991 tonnes of cargo in 2008 compared with 1,668,505 tonnes of freight in 2007.
