With the launch of a new service on 31 March 2015 by the Chinese cargo airline Yangtze River Express, Munich Airport now offers five weekly cargo flights to China. The B747-400 freighter will arrive in MUC on Tuesdays and Thursdays from Amsterdam and on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from Brussels before departing for China, landing first in Tianjin and then continuing to Shanghai. TransAsia Airways flight GE235 crashed in Taipei a few minutes after it took off at 10:53 am local time Wednesday. A pilot of the TransAsia Airways Flight 235 said "mayday, mayday, engine flameout" moments before the propjet banked sharply and crashed into a river, Taiwan's Civil Aeronautics Administration said Thursday as the death toll grew to 31 with 12 people still missing.There are 15 survivors. Kerry, Yamato, OCS apply for licences in China
Kerry Logistics, Yamato Logistics and Overseas Courier Service (OCS) have been allowed to enter China's booming domestic express delivery market, State Post Bureau announced in a notice. Airbus forecasts that China will need over 5,300 new passenger aircraft and freighters from 2014 to 2033, with a total market value of US$ 820 billion.
