DHL Supply Chain to invest $173M in China
DHL Supply Chain (DSC) announced that it will commit a further EUR 113 million (US$173 million) in China as its strategy gains traction. This is on the back of EUR 105 million that was committed in 2013, bringing the total committed to EUR 218 million. DHL builds largest warehouse in Malaysia
DHL Supply Chain is constructing a new mega warehouse in Shah Alam, Malaysia worth RM100 million (US$31.28 million). The warehouse, to be called Malaysia Integrated Logistics Centre (ILC), has a footprint of more than one million square feet, making it the largest warehouse in Malaysia, and will increase DHL Supply Chain’s warehouse footprint in the country by over 100 per cent. DHL Supply Chain, recently rebranded from DHL Exel Supply Chain, has once again taken top position as the largest player in the market, according to Transport Intelligence’s (TI) recently released annual rankings of the largest contract logistics operators on a globaland regional basis.
