Ukrainain carrier Antonov Airlines has transported essential machinery for the production of Covid-19 vaccines between Germany and the US, in partnership with DHL Global forwarding. The carrier operated six charter flights amidst poor weather conditions due to snowstorms in the US. DHL Express opens $131m hub at Malpensa Airport
DHL Express has opened a new logistics hub at Milan’s Malpensa Airport (MXP), valued at €110 million (US$131 million) euros, as part of a €350 million (US$418 million) investment plan in Italy. The company will operate over 30 daily flights from the new hub and nearly 38,000 pieces per hour through automated sorting and scanning systems, it noted, enabling 12 times more operational capacity.
