Cathay Pacific Airways today announced that it will expand its global freighter network with the launch of services to two new destinations in the US. SkyCargo grows cargo capacity by 17%
Fueled by existing orders for new aircraft, Dubai's Emirates SkyCargo will grow the number of flights across its network by 14 per cent this year and increase cargo capacity by 17 per cent. Weekly cargo capacity will increase by approximately four per cent to Australia, 10 per cent to Europe, 17 per cent to the Middle East, 15 per cent to Africa. Singapore Airlines, the world's most profitable carrier, has said it will slash passenger capacity by 11 per cent as the global recession continues to drag down air passenger and cargo demand. European safety body certifies B777F
Boeing's 777 Freighter has received its formal stamp of approval from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). EASA validated the US Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) 3 February type certification of the 777 Freighter.
