Airbus delivers 10,000th aircraft to Singapore Airlines
Airbus celebrated the delivery of its 10,000th aircraft last week - an A350-900 for Singapore Airlines. The milestone event was marked by a special ceremony in Toulouse hosted by Airbus Group CEO Tom Enders and attended by Goh Choon Phong, CEO of Singapore Airlines. IATA announces leadership changes at 72nd AGM
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced leadership changes at the conclusion of the Association’s 72nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Dublin, Ireland. Singapore Airlines and Air New Zealand have confirmed 6 January 2015 as the launch date for their alliance, with codeshare flights going on sale on both airlines’ services between Singapore and New Zealand today, 25 September. SIA and Tata to start new Indian airline
Singapore Airlines and India's holding conglomerate Tata Sons, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding and applied for Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) approval to establish a new full-service airline in India to based in New Delhi following regulatory approvals. SIA places US$17 billion Airbus/Boeing order
Singapore Airlines has placed an order for 30 more A350-900s and 30 B787-10Xs in deals valued at more than US$17 billion. The agreement with Airbus comprises 30 firm-ordered A350-900s for deliveryfrom the 2016/17 financial year, plus options for 20 more.
