The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced that February 2010 international scheduled air traffic showed continued strengthening of demand. Compared to February 2009, cargo demand grew 26.5 per cent while passenger demand was up 9.5 per cent. IATA: January volumes continue upward trend
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has announced that January 2010 demand for international scheduled air traffic showed continuing improvement, with international cargo demand up 28.3 per cent with only a 3.7 per cent increase in capacity. 2009 aviation 2nd-safest year in history
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced the aviation safety performance for 2009 showing that the year’s accident rate for Western-built jet aircraft as the second lowest in aviation history. The 2009 global accident rate (measured in hull losses per million flights) was 0.71. That is equal to one accident for every 1.4 million flights.
