Qatar Airways bumps up stake in IAG to 20%
Qatar Airways has announced that it now holds a 20.01 per cent stake in International Airlines Group (IAG) effective from 28 July. This follows a 12 July statement that it held, at that time, a 15.67 per cent shareholding in IAG, reiterating that it might consider increasing its stake further within the allowable limits. Aer Lingus to accept takeover bid from IAG
The BBC has reported that Aer Lingus will be taken over by International Airlines Group (IAG), the parent company of British Airways and Iberia Airlines. According to several news sources, IAG pitched its latest proposal at €2.50 a share, valuing Aer Lingus at about €1.3 billion (approx. US$1.5 billion).
