Vietnam’s first local cargo airline awaits PM approval
Vietnam’s transport ministry has sought approval from the prime minister to issue a licence to the country’s first all-cargo airline, Reuters reported last week. The airline, IPP Air Cargo, owned by luxury retailer Imex Pan Pacific Group, had met all necessary requirements for the licence, according to a statement posted on the government website. Vietnam may see its first dedicated cargo airline by next year as luxury retailer Imex Pan Pacific Group (IPPG) submitted its proposal to the country’s civil aviation authority (CAAV) to establish an airline dedicated to freight transport.
