AirAsia X, the long-haul arm of Malaysia-based AirAsia, will spread its wings to the US for the first time later this year. The low-cost airline said in a regulatory filing Monday that it plans to begin four weekly flights between Kuala Lumpur and Honolulu International Airport on 1 November. AirAsia X Berhad has appointed Cheok Huei Shian as its chief financial officer, effective immediately.
