LATAM rolls out Miami-Florianopolis cargo route
LATAM Cargo has started cargo-only flights from Miami to Florianopolis airport in southern Brazil, which will initially service once a week, a press release confirmed. South America’s largest airline said it has the only direct route to Santa Catarina, which relies heavily on automotive, metallurgical, food, pharmaceutical and electronic imports. LATAM Brazil makes ‘mega-delivery’ of medical supplies to combat COVID-19
LATAM Brazil concluded the 3,200-tonne ‘mega-operation’ to transport Chinese medical equipment and supplies to combat COVID-19 in Brazil after almost 3 months, a press release confirmed. Since May, more than 3,200 tonnes of cargo were transported in 45 flights, including 250 million surgical and N95 masks, monitors, respirators and other medical supplies. LATAM registers the largest mask shipment carried on a single flight
The LATAM flight carried the largest amount of surgical masks transported since the operation with the Ministry of Infrastructure to bring supplies to fight COVID-19 began.
