JAL Cargo announced that it has started to use 480 new light-weight cargo containers on its international routes. The new ULDs weigh 58 kg, 41 kg less than the old aluminum containers. They are made of synthetic resin in a honeycomb structure which gives them greater strength and flexibility than the old design.
