The JAL Group (JAL) has announced its volume of international cargo in terms of Revenue Cargo Tonne Kilometres (RCTK) in the first quarter (1 April to 30 June 2015) increased by 9.4 per cent year-on-year and international cargo revenue increased by 5.1 per cent to 14.7 billion yen (US$117.8 million). Japan Airlines (JAL) and Japan Post will expand delivery areas for Cool EMS Service to France from 1 April 2015, in addition to Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam. Meanwhile, the number of post offices available for Cool EMS Service will be increased from 25 to 78 across Japan. JAL’s profit drops despite strong cargo revenue
Japan Airlines (JAL) reported a 3.1 per cent YoY drop in group net profit for the first three quarters of fiscal 2014, to 119.684 billion yen (US$1.01 billion), despite a nearly double-digit rise in international cargo revenue.
