XPO Logistics has completed the first of two phases in its US$3.53 billion acquisition of France's Norbert Dentressangle. Norbert Dentressangle’s founder and his family divested their 67 per cent share of the company to XPO at price of 217.50 euros per share. Alitalia to end deal with Air France-KLM in 2017
Italy's Alitalia announced it will not renew its partnership and joint venture agreements with Air France-KLM when the deal expires in 2017. The partnership, writes Radiocor press agency, concerns the passenger services of the airlines between France, Italy and the Netherlands, along with marketing, the sale and distribution of Alitalia's cargo belly services operated by Air France-KLM. Saudi Cargo adds Paris to freighter network
Saudi Airlines Cargo has launched a new dedicated freighter service to Paris/Charles de Gaulle starting 22 May. This brings their destinations covered in France to 21 freighter destination. The new B747-400 freighter flights will operate twice a week to Paris/Charles de Gaulle on routing. Japan Airlines (JAL) and Japan Post will expand delivery areas for Cool EMS Service to France from 1 April 2015, in addition to Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam. Meanwhile, the number of post offices available for Cool EMS Service will be increased from 25 to 78 across Japan.
