Alitalia to end deal with Air France-KLM in 2017

Italy's Alitalia announced it will not renew its partnership and joint venture agreements with Air France-KLM when the deal expires in 2017. The partnership, writes Radiocor press agency, concerns the passenger services of the airlines between France, Italy and the Netherlands, along with marketing, the sale and distribution of Alitalia's cargo belly services operated by Air France-KLM. FedEx set to buy TNT for €4.4 billion

FedEx Corp's €4.4 billion bid Tuesday for TNT Express took the world's last large potential integrator acquisition target off the table, marking a victory in FedEx's battle to gain market share from rival United Parcel Service Inc. TNT opens healthcare hub in the Netherlands

TNT has opened a new transport hub in Heerlen, the Netherlands, dedicated to the shipping of medical devices to European hospitals and clinics. The 2,000 sqm facility is located near the European distribution centres of 80 major medical device manufacturers. In service 24 hours a day, seven days a week, it will consolidate medtech shipments from multinationals and SMEs.
