Toll completes BALtrans integration

Australian international logistics group Toll has announced it has completed the integration of BALtrans, the Hong Kong-based worldwide forwarder/logistics provider it acquired in early 2008. Toll, now one of Asia's leading providers of integrated logistics services, said that with effect 1 March, BALtrans has been rebranded as Toll Global Forwarding (TGF). China aims to up Pearl River Delta competitiveness

The Chinese government has released its plan for the future development of that country's most prosperous region, the Pearl River Delta. GWC, Agility Qatar plan to merge

Agility Qatar has announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enter into merger discussions with the Gulf Warehousing Company (GWC), a company listed on the Doha Securities Market. GAC opens new logistics office in Warsaw

The GAC Group has opened a new sales office to meet what it says are growing demands for logistics services in Poland. Belgian logistics firm invests in Singapore

Logistics company Katoen Natie is spending some US$39.4 million in its third phase of expansion, taking its total investments in Singapore to $98.6 million. The Belgian firm has been operating in Singapore since 1997 providing logistics and semi-industrial services to the specialty chemical and petrochemical industry. Indian logistics council to be created

Hampered by inadequate transport infrastructure and a disorganised logistics sector, India’s national government has announced it is forming a council to help develop the sector. No timeframe for its establishment has been confi rmed, however.
