Logistics company Katoen Natie is spending some US$39.4 million in its third phase of expansion, taking its total investments in Singapore to $98.6 million. The Belgian firm has been operating in Singapore since 1997 providing logistics and semi-industrial services to the specialty chemical and petrochemical industry. Hampered by inadequate transport infrastructure and a disorganised logistics sector, India’s national government has announced it is forming a council to help develop the sector.
