Airbus has begun final assembly of the first A350-900 for Singapore Airlines at its facilities in Toulouse, France. The aircraft is the first of 70 A350 XWBs ordered by the airline and is scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2016. The A350 XWB will form a major part of the future Singapore Airlines fleet and will be operated on the carrier’s medium and long-haul routes. Avolon firms up order for 15 A330neo aircraft
Dublin-based Avolon has firmed up its contract for 15 A330neo aircraft. Kuwait Airways to take 10 new 777-300ERs
Ten new 777-300ER aircraft, worth US$3.3 billion at current list prices, will be delivered to Kuwait Airways from November 2016. The airline will use them to launch new routes, but these routes were undisclosed. Last February, Kuwait Airways agreed to purchase 25 new aircraft including A320-neos and A350s.
