Lufthansa Cargo and All Nippon Airways Cargo will launch joint freight services from Europe to Japan on August 3, eight months after they joined forces on the westbound route. Lufthasa delays construction of new cargo centre
Lufthansa Cargo will be delaying the construction of its new cargo centre called LCCneo at the Cargo City North of Frankfurt airport by at least two years. Lufthansa Cargo has taken delivery of its fifth and final Boeing 777F freighter aircraft. D-ALFE landed in Frankfurt for the first time on 12 February on its delivery flight from Everett near Seattle. Lufthansa Cargo reports 2.7% dip in 2014 volumes
Despite a slight decline in transported cargo volume, Lufthansa Cargo said it was able to maintain its capacity utilisation last year with a cargo load factor of 69.7 per cent (2013: 69.9 per cent).
