Kiev-based Antonov Airlines using its AN-22 aircraft delivered a 30-tonne container with winches and equipment from Orstend to Instanbul on 12 August, a press release confirmed. The cargo was ordered for repair works on a deepwater pipeline between Turkey and Cyprus. Turkey/Australia direct flights now possible
Direct flights between Turkey and Australia are now possible following the signing of the first-ever air services agreement between our two countries. Under the new arrangements Australian and Turkish airlines can immediately begin operating up to five direct flights per week. Etihad Airways is expanding its European services with the addition of its latest new route to Istanbul in Turkey.
