Vietjet awarded IOSA certification

Vietjet has received IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certification from the International Air Transportation Association (IATA), putting it in the top 16 per cent of the world’s airlines which have achieved that standard. Vietjet also received an Acknowledgement Certificate from Prime Minister of Vietnam Nguyen Tan Dung for its continuous contributions to the development of Vietnam’s economy and society in recent years. Jetstar adds three SEA destinations

Jetstar Asia is expanding its coverage in Southeast Asia with the launch of direct flights to three new destinations using A320 equipment. From this fall, the Singapore-based low-cost carrier will launch services to the Indonesian cities of Palembang and Pekanbaru and Danang in central Vietnam. Vietnamese National Assembly has approved the construction of a new US$16 billion international airport by 2025 to relieve the load on Tan Son Nhat airport. The assembly passed a resolution for the planned Long Thanh International Airport to be built just outside the southern commercial hub of Ho Chi Minh City. The airport will eventually have the capacity to handle 100 million passengers and 5 million tons of cargo a year. VietJetAir orders six additional A321ceo

Vietnamese carrier VietJetAir has placed a firm order with Airbus for the purchase of six additional A321s.
