Worldwide Flight Services’ (WFS) North American operations have made a successful start to 2018 by winning and renewing cargo handling, ramp and passenger services contracts with airline customers at eight U.S. stations. Egyptair extends its cargo partnership with WFS
Egyptair has awarded a new cargo and mail handling contract to Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) in Amsterdam and Brussels, extending its relationship with WFS at both airports. The three-year contract, which commences in March 2018, will see WFS handling cargo and mail for the airline’s daily Boeing 737-800 from Amsterdam to Cairo as well as its five times weekly 737-800 services from Brussels to Egypt’s capital city. WFS opens pharma facility in Copenhagen and wins new Air India contract
Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), the world’s largest air cargo handler, is continuing to enhance its ability to handle pharmaceutical cargoes with the opening of a new temperature-controlled facility in Copenhagen. The investment is in support of WFS’ airline customers’ growing pharma volumes and WFS’ own IATA CEIV Pharma certification programme in Denmark, which it expects to complete in early 2018. WFS gains IATA CEIV Pharma Cert in Brussels
Pharma volumes handled by WFS in Brussels rose by some 170% in 2016 and will soar to a new high in 2017. Volumes in the first 10 months of the year have already exceeded three million kilos.
