Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) has been awarded five new cargo handling contracts by passenger and freighter airlines in France. Four of the contracts cover Paris CDG as well as handling at WFS’ other 11 cargo stations across France. WFS wins handling contract for Qatar Airways Cargo
Qatar Airways Cargo has appointed Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) to provide cargo handling for its new twice-weekly Boeing 777 freighter services to Pittsburgh International Airport. The launch of the new route, which took place earlier this month, makes Qatar Airways the first international airline to commence a scheduled freighter service to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. St. Louis Lambert reports boom in charter activities
St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL) reported a boom in cargo charter activity in 2017. This year, the airport had witnessed a 30% increase in freight charters, compared with the same period in 2016. The average weight of cargo on flights has increased almost four-fold to 45,982 lbs (20,857 kgs).
