WorldACD has reported that the September YoY volume growth of around 5.0 per cent was eclipsed by the 6.2 per cent YoY growth in volumes in October. American and European carriers contributed most to the 3.0 per cent MoM growth in yields (in USD), a higher MoM growth for this month than in previous years. June sees highest growth in 14 months: IATA
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) released data for global air freight demand in June 2016 showing a rise in freight tonne kilometers (FTK) of 4.3 per cent year-on-year - the fastest pace of growth in 14 months. Marginal cargo growth continues for Cathay, Dragonair
Cathay Pacific Airways today released combined Cathay Pacific and Dragonair traffic figures for July 2015 continuing the trend of strong year-on-year growth in the number of passengers carried but only a marginal increase in the volume of cargo and mail uplifted. The two airlines carried 147,545 tonnes of cargo and mail in July, an increase of 0.5 per cent compared to the same month last year. Korean Air 3Q cargo yields on the up
Korean Air registered a 5.7 per cent increase in cargo yield in 3Q 2014 as its load factor rose 2.5 percentage points to 79.1 per cent. Its cargo arm, accounting for 22.1 per cent of total airline revenues in Q3, saw a 10 per cent rise in domestic cargo revenue sales in the three months to September.
