DHL has relocated the regional operations of its two logistics business units – DHL Global Forwarding and DHL Exel Supply Chain – to a single HQ in Singapore.
The DHL Logistics division accounted for more than 22 billion euros or approximately 55 percent of DHL’s global revenue in 2006.
According to John Allan, global CEO for the DHL Logistics division and board member of parent company, Deutsche Post World Net, the company’s choice of Singapore was based on the country’s effi ciency, extensive connectivity, excellent infrastructure and great human capital investment.
The DHL Logistics division regional HQ also houses the group’s Global Customer Solutions unit.
The DHL Logistics division in Singapore has more than twenty dedicated facilities, including a Healthcare & Life Sciences Hub.
Singapore is also the Asia-Pacifi c headquarters for DHL Express.
