DHL Global Forwarding has been named the logistics partner for the Victoria Desalination Project. The company will be responsible for delivering approximately 60,000 revenue tonnes of material and equipment to construct Australia’s largest seawater desalination plant which will be built on the Bass Coast, near the town of Wonthaggi. “DHL will be involved in the entire logistical process; from contacting suppliers, making bookings for transport, picking up goods, transporting goods to Melbourne, arranging customs clearance and delivering goods to site at Wonthaggi, 90 minutes south-east of Melbourne,” said Tony Boll, CEO – South Pacific, DHL Global Forwarding.
