The operations of FCS Frankfurt Cargo Services GmbH and WFS Worldwide Flight Services in Frankfurt have been fully merged following the takeover of FCS by WFS a few months ago. Since 1 February 2016 FCS has been in charge of the WFS handling – with physical handling carried out by FCS using its warehouse facilities.
All customers of WFS were smoothly moved to the FCS premises due to an optimised restructuring of the existing capacity, the pair said, adding that documentary handling of all WFS customers is still processed by WFS.
“We have managed to bring together two companies in a short time to offer our customers the best possible service and a continuing high quality handling. This is the most important goal for FCS and for WFS,” said Hans-Georg Emmert, managing director of FCS. In addition, another 19 staff of WFS now support FCS in physical and documentary operational handling.
FCS said it is, “pleased with the growth in qualified employees, premium customers and is confident that together with WFS, the new majority shareholder, there will be a further strong growth in the future.”
