Ohio-based CSafe Global, which manufactures temperature-controlled container solutions for transport of pharmaceuticals, has expanded its presence with the start of a hub operations in Taipei, according to a press release.

The cold chain specialist will have access to 2,500 square feet of space to store its RKN and RAP containers for local shippers. 

In a time when the global supply chain is getting ready for a corona vaccine, CSafe says this new facility will ensure supply for Taiwan’s biotech and pharmaceutical sectors. 

“We’ve been supplying containers to Taipei for some time now from our Hong Kong facility,” explained Tom Weir, chief operating officer for CSafe Global. “As the demand has consistently increased over time, we felt it important to invest in a local hub where we can inspect and service incoming containers so they can be released for usage by local organisations.” 

It partnered with C.H. Robinson in Taipei to make units available at their Taiwan International Global Forwarding facility. A spokesperson from C.H. Robinson said services will include hub, storage, cleaning, and inspection as part of the contract.
