Vietjet will resume international flights to Tokyo (NRT), Seoul (INC) and Taipei (TPE) from 29 September, a press release confirmed.

Scheduled flights are as follows: NRT every Tuesday, INC every Wednesday, and TEP every Thursday.

Vietjet says passengers departing from Vietnam must have a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 test result taken within 3 days before departure, which must comply with mandatory medical quarantine requirements of the host countries.

The airline added it continues to carry out repatriation flights around the world as well as transport goods, necessities, medical equipment to support disease prevention efforts.

To ensure the safety of the community, the budget airline has been strengthening the coordination of its disease prevention measures, strictly adhering to health check procedures for passengers and crews before and after each flight and following required medical regulations amongst others.

All Vietjet flights, the company noted, are in accordance to the global standards and recommendations from the authorities, the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to ensure the health and safety for its passengers, flight crews and the community.

Domestic back up

Vietjet has resumed domestic flights and will operate four services for the Da Nang–Ho Chi Minh City route and three similar for the Da Nang–Hanoi route.

Frequency will be increased to 7-10 daily return flights per day from October, Vietjet noted.

The Da Nang-Hai Phong will be in service once a day, whilst Da Nang–Da lat will have five return flights per week. Other routes from Da Nang to Buon Ma Thuot/Can Tho/Nha Trang will have four return flights per week each.

Vietjet advises all passengers traveling in Vietnam to take COVID-19 precautions, such as wearing masks at airports and onboard the flight, filling up mandatory health declaration form and installing contact tracking app Bluezone on their smartphone.
