dnata has promoted David Barker to divisional senior vice president (DSVP) for airport operations effective 1 August.
In his new role, he will oversee dnata’s global ground handling and cargo business at 91 airports in 14 countries, managing a team of over 23,000 aviation professionals.

David, who joined the company in 2015, was previously the chief executive for dnata USA’s airport operations. He held C-suite roles at JetSource and various general manager and regional operational roles with ASIG. He also led the global mergers and acquisitions for BBA Aviation Flight Support.
He will replace Stewart Angus who has decided to leave the company due to family reasons after 16 successful years. He will be based in Dubai and report to Steve Allen, dnata’s executive vice president.
