Greater Bay Airlines has promoted director Stanley Hui, member of the board, to assume the role of the chief executive officer, replacing Mr. Algernon Yau with immediate effect.
Mr Hui will be in charge of overseeing the operations of GBA, who got its first aircraft and Air Operator’s Certificate in September and October of last year, respectively.
The airline currently has two 2 Boeing 737-800 aircrafts in service and the third aircraft planned to join in late 2022 as it looks to expand its fleet to meet market demand in the next 5 years.
Mr. Yau welcomed his new role with the Hong Kong government as Minister for Commerce and Economic Development on 1 July, during the oath taking ceremony of Hong Kong’s new chief executive.
