All Nippon Airways has acquired an electric fast charger for ground support equipment (GSE) from supplier ABB, which will be available at Tokyo’s Haneda Airport. 

The move comes as the carrier is extending its carbon neutral initiatives beyond its aircraft assets, such as the adoption of SAF.  ANA said it will also adopt new technologies that will be achieved through a variety of efforts in ground and flight operations. 

ANA said the fast charger, ‘Terra CE 54 CJG,’ is compatible with both local (CHAdeMO) and international standards (AC standard and DC CCS 2) and can be used for future electric vehicles. ANA mentioned that this is the first time it installed a fast charger for electric vehicles in the restricted area of an airport.
