Wings On Board reports 25 percent productivity increase after partnering with Awery Aviation Software

April 3, 2025 by PLA Editor

On Board Courier (OBC) provider, Wings on Board (Wings) has reported a 25 percent increase in productivity since implementing Awery Aviation Software (Awery)’s tailored digital solution.

In collaboration with the Wings team, Awery developed a comprehensive OBC service solution, incorporating Awery’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, with custom-designed track-and-trace software accessible through a mobile application.

Wings, founded in 2004 at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, has a network of over 3,200 couriers in over 150 countries, offering OBC services 24/7/365 worldwide.

“Every logistics provider has unique operational requirements, so it is essential that we work together to create digital solutions that address each client’s specific pain points,” said Vitaly Smilianets, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Awery.

“For Wings on Board, we developed a solution that automates previously manual tasks, and provides secure access to critical operational data, allowing for communication between all parties involved in the shipment.”

The solution digitalises Wings’ day-to-day operations from request and quotation handling to mission and courier management, allowing the Wings team to win more business with the same number of staff.

This data then informs the mobile app, ‘My Wings’, created by Awery to enable seamless communications between customers, couriers, and the Wings team.

“In recent years, the OBC industry has changed drastically, especially since disruptions during the pandemic, meaning that we have had to fundamentally change the way we do business,” said Raz Brod, Managing Director, Wings.

“We realised the need for a technology partner who could develop a solution to eliminate the time-consuming manual processes that were slowing down our operations, and since implementing Awery’s software, we have seen a significant increase in efficiency.”

The solution also includes Awery’s AI-powered tool, eMagic, processing and extracting key information, including customer details, cargo specifications, routing, and special handling requirements.

The Awery team will be attending the International Air Transport Association (IATA)’s World Cargo Symposium in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from 15-17th April 2025.
