New HiSERV building strengthens operations at Brussels Airport

March 24, 2026 by PLA Editor

Brussels Airport and HiSERV, one of Europe’s leading providers of ground support equipment services (GSE), have inaugurated a new building at Brussels Airport. The modern and sustainable facility includes about 2,000 m² of workshop space and more than 600 m² of office space. It’s an important investment thati will help improve operational efficiency, support the well-being of the teams working here, and allow for future growth. With this project, both partners also show their shared ambition to invest in high-quality infrastructure that supports their goals in terms of sustainability and performance.

The new facility is located next to the airport’s cargo zone and forms part of the continuous development of the airport’s ecosystem in close collaboration with its partners. Covering approximately 2,000 m² of workshop, more than 600 m² of office facilities and complemented by a 2,400 m² inner courtyard, the building has been designed to support the smooth functioning of airside handling operations and to meet the operational needs of a key airport partner. With this new building, Brussels Airport further strengthens its hub performance and continues to develop as a key logistics and economic hub in Europe.

“This new building perfectly illustrates our ambition to invest together with our partners in modern, high‑quality and efficient infrastructurethat can respond to evolving operational requirements and support future growth,” says Geert Aerts, Chief Cargo & Real Estate Officer at Brussels Airport. “The facility is fully aligned with the sustainability ambitions of both Brussels Airport and HiSERV, with a strong focus on energy and operational efficiency. HiSERV plays a key role in our airside operations, and this new development strengthens our ability to support reliable and sustainable operations at the airport.”

The new HiSERV building offers dedicated workstations, individual access gates for each workshop, specialised maintenance areas, a dedicated washing zone for equipment as well as modern and spacious office facilities. Placing people at its core, the new working environment represents a significant improvement for employees and supports efficient and reliable operations. For HiSERV, the new building further consolidates its positioning within the airport ecosystem and reflects the company’s strong growth trajectory within the HiSERV Group and across Europe.

A partnership‑driven project serving people and operations
The project is the tangible result of a close and long‑term partnership between Brussels Airport and HiSERV (previously CTC Moyson). Throughout the development, both parties worked together to ensure that the facility meets operational requirements while contributing to the overall development of the airport’s activities.

“This new facility represents an important step forward for HiSERV,” says Roland Ückert, CEO of HiSERV Group. “It significantly strengthens the efficiency of our operations and creates the foundation for further strategic growth. By optimising processes and expanding our operational capacity, the new workshop enables us to respond more effectively and to continue developing our services to our valued customers. Brussels Airport is a key location within our European network, and we are committed to further expanding our presence here. The new infrastructure provides the necessary space to scale our operations and supports our long-term growth ambitions. Realizing the new facility with Brussels Airport also underlines the strength of our partnership and shared commitment to the future of aviation.”

From family business to European player
HiSERV’s presence at Brussels Airport builds on a long entrepreneurial history. Originally founded in 1988 as a family‑owned bodywork business by Marc Moyson and his wife, the company gradually expanded into mechanical maintenance for vehicles, trucks and ground support equipment.

CTC Moyson has been active at Brussels Airport since 2007. Over the years, the company continued to grow, expanding its activities to include the renovation, leasing, buying and selling of ground support equipment services at other airports in Belgium and across Western Europe. In 2024, the merger with HiSERV and S‑P‑S International positioned the group as one of the leading ground support equipment providers in the European market. Today, the GSE service provider is one of the main players responsible for the supply, maintenance and innovation of ground support equipment, making it an important partner in daily aircraft handling operations.
