Good news for freight forwarders in Japan as air cargo booking marketplace cargo.one has gone live in the land of the rising sun starting with three carriers: ANA, Lufthansa and Finnair.
The platform will be free of charge for all forwarders in Japan, regardless of size, and available in local language. Over 300 destinations will be on offer, with more airlines to be added in the coming weeks.
cargo.one said this is the latest step as the company looks to expand its presence in Asia Pacific., following exclusive partnerships with ANA Cargo, Singapore Airlines Cargo and MASKargo, as well as Nippon Cargo Airlines.
ANA Cargo has been selling its freight capacity on cargo.one since 2020 and has found success in doing so. Ken Wakiya, EVP Global Cargo Marketing & Sales at ANA Cargo, said digital transformation is the airline;s top priority in the short and the mid-long term.
To strengthen its collaborations with Japanese freight forwarders, cargo.one recently opened a Tokyo office and appointed Yoichi Mizuno as country manager.
