Silk Way West Airlines and cargo.one today have announced a global partnership to bring the airline’s freighter capacity to the air cargo booking marketplace.
Capacity will be available to freight forwarders starting Autumn 2023.
Headquartered in Baku, Silk Way West Airlines carries over 420,000 tonnes of freighter capacity annually, utilizing a fleet of 12 Boeing 747F aircraft with front-loading capabilities. The carrier said it is implementing an expansion strategy that involves maximizing its digital distribution to every relevant marketplace, and it hopes the partnership will drive up its share of digital air cargo sales.
The move follows cargo.one’s launch of its revolutionary cargo.one pro and cargo.one protect solutions that allow for instant and seamless agent-to-agent bookings for both import and export shipments.
In related news during air cargo Europe, Silk Way West Airlines announced the upcoming Caspian Air Cargo Summit 2023, to be held at the JW Marriott Absheron Hotel in Baku from October 23-25, 2023.
