Kale Logistics is bringing the ‘single window’ mindset into air cargo as its CEO, Amar More, addressed a panel discussion during the recently held Air Cargo India even held in Mumbai earlier this month.
Kale is a firm believer that digitalisation in air cargo operations is nothing short of inevitable, and More emphasised the value of a one digital platform in driving profitability and sustainability for air freight operators.
“Air Cargo Community systems act as an ‘Air Cargo Single Window’, that facilitates ease of business and global trade by eliminating duplication of data entry, reducing unnecessary paperwork, tackling airport congestion issues, and bringing shipment visibility to all stakeholders,” More told the panel.
Kale Logistics also works with players in the maritime shipping industry, and in November last year, it won a contract to develop and implement a maritime single window platform to connect Malaysia’s Port Klang and subsidiary terminals
The company works with more than 100 air cargo stations to help airports transform into digitally connected logistics hubs, and More expressed that the customers are now demanding faster processing, real-time visibility and accurate tracking as ‘perks’, making digital solutions a necessity to compete in the industry
“The true benefits of digitalisation emerge only when an entire ecosystem embraces it – partial adoption falls short,” More noted.
Kale Logistics is set to hold an invitation-only event on 17 to 18 May in Istanbul, where the agenda will focus on best practices for digitalising the supply chain. Late last year the company was tasked to implement its air cargo community system at Istanbul Grand Airport.
The CLEAR VIEW event will bring thought-leaders together to discuss best practice setting out a roadmap for sustainable air cargo practices, cargo handling infrastructure, and assessing how ready the industry is to embrace digitalisation.
Over 600 delegates attended the 3-day Air Cargo India Conference and Exhibition in Mumbai.
