DHL uprades Americas hub for US$108M
DHL is investing US$108 million to expand its Americas hub facility at the Cincinnati/ Northern Kentucky airport (CVG) to meet the demands of continued growth in international ecommerce and global trade. TNT opens new air route to Malta
TNT has launched a new air service between its main European air hub in Liege and Malta. The flight will run five times a week on a B737-400 aircraft, with a stopover in Marseilles on both outbound and inbound journeys and offers next day delivery to all of Europe. India’s Blue Dart Express – a unit of Deutsche Post DHL Group – has become a majority shareholder in Blue Dart Aviation after purchasing additional 21 per cent stake taking its shareholding of the company in Blue Dart Aviation to 70 per cent. UPS to open Netherlands healthcare centre
UPS has announced that it is building a new healthcare distribution center in Roermond, the Netherlands, to accommodate growing demand. The new facility will measure close to 28,000 sqm and provide 41,000 pallet places. The announcement comes a month after UPS opened a healthcare-dedicated air freight forwarding facility at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
