CHINA: Nanchang to focus on logistics development

Nanchang, the capital of Jiangxi province in southeastern China, has put together a three-tier logistics development plan for its local logistics industry, covering the period between now and 2020, Xinhua reports. CHINA: US carriers launch bids for China routes

Continental Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Northwest Airlines and US Airways have launched formal bids to operate new services to China, which will become available as a result of the expanded aviation agreement with theUS signed last month. CHINA:CAAC approves Grandstar Cargo

The General Administration of Civil Aviation (CAAC) said it has given approval to logistics group Sinotrans Air Transportation Development to set up an air cargo joint venture with three South Korean companies - Korean Air, Hana Capital and Shinhan Capital. Air India last month took delivery of its fi rst 777-200LR (Longer Range) Worldliner. This is the fi rst 777 from Air India’s order of 68 Boeing aircraft. The airline will receive an additional three 777-200LR Worldliners and three 777-300ER (Extended Range) aircraft this year as part of a major expansion programme.
